TELEHEALTH

  • During the COVID-19 virus pandemic, we respect the importance for the public to remain home. We also recognize that many patients will continue to require “hands on” treatments in order to maximize their progress and avoid significant decline; therefore, we will continue to treat these patients in the clinic. At the same time, a large number of patients may fall into high risk categories which will prevent them from having the option to come into the clinic. For these reasons, Purposed Physical Therapy will now be offering Telehealth!!
  • Our Telehealth service is also the perfect way for those who live outside of the Greenville, SC area or who may not be able to make it into the clinic based on work schedules to still have the opportunity to receive a movement-based evaluation and education on self-treatment strategies!
  • Due to the many restrictions of different insurance companies, and the differences between various states, we will now be offering telehealth as one of our self-pay only options. This means, you only have to pay our $80 per visit rate, and neither us (nor you) will be able to submit your visit charges to your insurance company. This way, you now have the opportunity to receive affordable high-level quality care without having all the restrictions.
  • To get started, you will need to fill out this online form: Telehealth PT Inquiry Form

What Does Purposed PT Telehealth Look Like?

  • Telehealth PT involves a Doctor of Physical Therapist from our team and yourself on a video phone call where we can perform a mechanical, movement-based PT evaluation, examination, education, and treatment session.
  • Telehealth PT looks very similar to a normal PT visit, except for the difference of no manual therapy examination or manual based treatments.
  • Not all conditions require the use of manual interventions to determine an injury diagnosis, or to even treat it. Actually, a significant number of patients are able to experience a reduction in pain and restoration of function through self-treatment education and specific movement-based strategies!
  • Based on a conversation with a Physical Therapist in our office, we can help determine if you are a candidate for Telehealth PT or if you would benefit better from being in a PT clinic in your local area. (See Below)
